This afternoon, the Winnipeg Jets held an optional skate, which provided a key update on three forwards for Game 2.

The Winnipeg Jets pulled off an incredible Game 1 win against the St. Louis Blues, giving themselves an advantage in the series early.
The Jets were able to take home the win despite being without Rasmus Kupari, Gabriel Vilardi, and Nikolaj Ehlers, who were all a part of the Jets' lineup for a majority of the regular season.
Today, the Jets held an optional skate, which provided a small but encouraging update regarding Vilardi and Kupari's health and potential return.
With the Jets having an off day before Game 2 on Monday, most of the Jets players decided to take the day to relax and not take the ice.
However, several players, including Vilardi and Kupari, were seen on the ice doing some individual work and drills to keep themselves fresh.

Rasmus Kupari And Gabriel Vilardi Return To Practice

While it was not a full-team practice, Vilardi and Kupari showed positive signs towards a return. Both were back on the ice, and Kupari wore a full-contact jersey, indicating he could be incredibly close to a return.
With this positive update for the pair of young forwards comes a bit of a discouraging sign for Winnipeg Jets star Nikolaj Ehlers, who was not seen at practice and still has not skated since suffering his injury.
While this does not necessarily indicate the severity of Ehlers' injury, it does likely mean he is further away from a return than Kupari and Vilardi.
Of course, this is not really a surprise, as after Ehlers was initially injured, he was given a week-to-week timeline to return just 5 days ago.
Tomorrow's morning skate will be crucial in determining which players could enter the Jets lineup for game two, with Kupari having the best chance for a Game 2 debut.
As more updates are provided on the health of the Winnipeg Jets and their lineup heading into Game 2, we will pass along the latest news and notes.
