The Winnipeg Jets terrible injury luck has continued this afternoon as another defenseman has gone down with Haydn Fleury suffering an injury against the Kings.

Early in the season, the Winnipeg Jets have dealt with a multitude of injuries especially on defense with star Dylan Samberg going down in the preseason and considered to be out long-term.
Now, the Jets who are already thin on defense have also lost veteran Haydn Fleury after he suffered an apparent injury blocking a shot in today's game.
Fleury suffered the injury in the second period and briefly returned to the ice at the start of the third period to test things out.

Unfortunately, after taking a couple strides it was clear to Fleury he would not be able to return and he headed back down the tunnel and has not been ruled out for the night.
It remains unclear exactly what the injury to Fleury is but the fact that he tested things out and still could not come back isn't a great sign.
Now, the Jets will almost certainly have to call someone up to fill in as they only have Colin Miller as an extra on the roster at this point.
Luckily, the Jets were able to get Ville Heinola to pass through waivers and go to the AHL and he will be a great addition if needed with plenty of experience playing in the NHL.
Once the game ends, head coach Scott Arniel will hopefully be able to give an update on Fleury's condition and how long he might potentially be out.
As those details are provided by Arniel and the Jets we will pass them along to you.
