Winnipeg Jet Josh Morrissey reflects upon dream come true selection to Canada's Olympic team

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey is reflecting upon his dream come true of being selected to be on Team Canada's roster for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
After months of anticipation, the roster for Team Canada in the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan has been released, and the usual names of Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon were included.
There were some notable snubs, including Sam Bennett and Connor Bedard, while second year forward Macklin Celebrini was included.
Winnipeg Jets forward Josh Morrissey, who was on Canada's roster for the 4 Nations Faceoff last February, was included on the roster, which he calls special.
It's pretty incredible for sure. I remember '02, obviously '06, '10, '14, specifically '10, the golden goal. But it was kind of that age where, just in high school and watching every moment. So, yeah, I mean, it's just beyond the hockey as well.

So far this year, Morrissey has 30 points (6G, 24A) in 38 games.
Josh Morrissey Was Named To Canada's Roster For The Olympics
Morrissey is part of the defense for Canada, who also picked Drew Doughty, Thomas Harley, Cale Makar, Colton Parayko, Travis Sanheim, Devon Toews and Shea Theodore.
Other interesting names that were included on the roster were Bo Horvat and Nick Suzuki, but there some surprised fans and analysts when players like Sam Bennett and Connor Bedard were not included.
Morrissey has already represented Canada in the 4 Nations Faceoff.
