After their loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Vancouver Canucks have announced that both Conor Garland and the newly acquired Marco Rossi will be out for at least a week with injuries.

The Vancouver Canucks have been off since Tuesday night when they were beaten 6-3 by the Philadelphia Flyers, bringing an end to what was a four game wining streak after the stunning trade of captain Quinn Hughes.
But the loss also resulted in a pair of injuries for the Canucks, who are still trying to fight their way out of the bottom of the standings in the Western Conference.
Per a report from Canucks analyst Jeff Paterson, both Conor Garland and Marco Rossi are expected to miss at least the next week with injuries.

So far this year, Garland has 22 points (7G, 15A) and Rossi has 15 points (5G, 10A) split between the Minnesota Wild and Canucks.
Rossi was acquired from the Wild as part of the blockbuster trade involving Hughes; the Canucks also got Liam Ohgren, defenseman Zeev Buium, and a first round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft in return.

Conor Garland Is Heavily Involved In Canucks Trade Rumours

Even though the Canucks have already officially moved on from Hughes, there remain other players who are heavily involved in trade rumours and could soon be moved.
One of them is Garland, as well as fellow forwards Kiefer Sherwood and Elias Pettersson.
Last year, after the rumours of a rift between Pettersson and now-ex Canuck JT Miller were confirmed by team president Jim Rutherford, Miller was shipped to the New York Rangers.
