Insider David Pagnotta Predicts What Kyle Connor's Extension Will Look Like
During a new episode of The Sheet, David Pagnotta provided the latest update on where things stand with Kyle Connor.
To this point, Connor has been projected to land a contract north of 15 million dollars per year that would keep him in Winnipeg long-term.
Now, according to Pagnotta the two sides are focused on a long-term deal of seven years at somewhere between 12 and 13 million dollars per season.
While this would be a very expensive deal in terms of the Jets' other contracts it would be an absolute steal compared to what the Minnesota Wild just paid Kirill Kaprizov.
This would be a massive win for the Jets to keep Connor who is such an integral part of their team both on and off the ice for what is expected to be a fairly cheap contract once a few years go by.
At the moment, talks are still not in the advanced stages and things could still change but it seems an extension for Kyle Connor is only a matter of time away from being completed.
As more updates are given on Connor's future we will pass along the latest details.
