Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel has confirmed that his team has yet another injury to deal with, this time being Cole Perfetti, and the outlook isn't great based on the latest information.

The Winnipeg Jets are the reigning Presidents' Trophy winners as the NHL's best regular season team last year, but their year came to a close at the hands of the Dallas Stars in a painful 6 game loss in the WCSF.
The Jets hope for a repeat performance this year with the addition of former Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, but they're already dealing with an injury to him. Also, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck is banged up.
And now, in addition to Toews and Hellebuyck, the Jets are dealing with an injury to another important player. Forward Cole Perfetti was hurt during his team's recent preseason game against the Calgary Flames, and per coach Scott Arniel, the outlook isn't the best.
Per analyst Mitchell Clinton:

post-game show that Cole Perfetti has a lower-body injury that at first glance «doesn't look great.» He'll be re-evaluated.

Dylan DeMelo got a stick to the throat and was kept out as a precaution.
Last year, Perfetti had 50 points (18G, 32A) for the Jets.
Starting the new year with so many injuries runs the risk of putting the Jets behind the 8-ball, something they'll need to overcome.

The Jets are also dealing with a Jonathan Toews injury

The Jets are also dealing with an injury to former Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, who signed a 1 year deal with the team over the summer.
Toews, who is from Winnipeg, hasn't played in the NHL since April of 2023 with the Blackhawks, who informed him that he would not be re-signed when his most recent contract expired.
