NHL analyst Mike McIntyre has seen enough, and he believes that last night's loss to the Oilers broke the camel's back and changes are now long overdue.

With each passing game and mounting loss, the question surrounding the Winnipeg Jets keeps getting louder: When will enough be enough?
Monday's 3-1 defeat to the Edmonton Oilers at a sold-out Canada Life Centre could have felt acceptable on its own. The Jets outshot Edmonton 42-21 and did many of the things that usually lead to wins. By many measures, they deserved better.

What the bigger picture ultimately is

But in the bigger picture, moral victories don't matter anymore. Winnipeg has dropped 19 of its last 25 games (6-15-4) and sits 15-18-4, just one point above the bottom of the NHL standings. The Jets' decline has been painful, and the need for change is glaring.
NHL analyst Mike McIntyre has seen enough. He believes last night's loss broke the camel's back and that significant changes are now long overdue.
"All of which begs another burning question: What, if any, changes will be made to pull this team out of what has become an embarrassing tailspin? The need for help is obvious. The status quo is not nearly good enough to compete, certainly not in a results-oriented 'what have you done for me lately' business.

Changes long overdue as Jets' tailspin continues with loss to Oilers."

Why status quo simply isn't good enough anymore

The Jets cannot keep operating under the current status quo if they hope to compete in a results-driven league.
Edmonton improved to 20-14-6 and is aiming for a third straight trip to the Stanley Cup Final, while Winnipeg continues to struggle. The team has sold out just four home games this season, with a modest 8-8-2 record at Canada Life Centre.
The Jets head out on a three-game road trip starting Wednesday in Detroit, where they are 7-10-2 away from home. The question remains: how much longer can this team tread water before decisive action is taken?
