The Winnipeg Jets came into tonight's must win Game 6 needing all hands on deck.

Unfortunately, heading into the third period that will no longer be possible for the Jets as defenseman Josh Morrissey has suffered a lower-body injury.
Morrissey came into this game expected to be one of the x-factors for the Jets if they were going to extend the series to 7 games.
Instead, Morrissey will now miss the third period for the Jets due to a brutal injury he suffered in the second period.
The injury was sustained toward the end of the second period when Morrissey collided with Stars forward Mikko Rantanen.
Moments later, Morrissey was seen leaving the ice without putting any pressure on his left leg.
As he was heading off the ice, Morrissey seemed to grab his knee indicating that was the area of concern for this injury.
At the end of the period it was unknown whether Morrissey would return for the Jets in the third.

Now, it has been confirmed by Elliotte Friedman that Morrissey will remain out for the rest of tonight's contest.
This injury is a huge blow the Jets lineup as Morrissey is by far their best defenseman and was a minute eating option on the back end.
During this postseason run Morrissey has been a key contributor playing in 11 games and tallying 6 points all assists.
Now, the Jets will have to turn to other players like Neal Pionk to fill the void and extend this series to a winner take all Game 7.
