During warmups of tonight's game Toews met Kane at center ice and gave his former teammate a big hug.
After the hug the two posed for a photo together before heading back to warmups for their respective teams.
Toews in 37 games has tallied just 10 points while playing in various roles for the Jets while Kane is nearly a point per game at 23 points in his 25 games played with the Red Wings.
After that moment, the game would begin and Toews would get on the scoresheet with an assist while Kane would get the last laugh as the Red Wings took home the win.
With both Kane and Toews nearing the end of their careers it will be interesting to see if this was their last matchup or if they will face each other again at some point before their Hall of Fame careers conclude.
