Jets receive fantastic news on a pair of key injured players ahead of tonight's game against the Kraken
The Winnipeg Jets have been ravaged by injuries early in the season but the team has finally received some good news on Dylan Samberg and Gustav Nyquist.
Heading into the 2025-26 season the Winnipeg Jets were expected to be one of the top teams in the NHL once again.
However, the Jets ran into some terrible luck almost immediately as captain Adam Lowry endured offseason surgery and Dylan Samberg suffered an injury during preseason action.
From there, Gustav Nyquist, Cole Perfetti, and Morgan Barron all suffered various injuries leaving the Jets incredibly thin at multiple positions.
Over the last couple of days, the Jets have gotten healthier with Perfetti and Lowry both making their season debuts.
With both players back, the Jets are now down just Dylan Samberg and Gustav Nyquist when it comes to big name players in the lineup.
This afternoon, the Jets were given some great news on their return to action as well.
Dylan Samberg and Gustav Nyquist expected to return tonight against the Kraken
During their morning skate, the Jets gave a preview of their lines for tonight's game against the Seattle Kraken.
According to the line rushes, it seems that both Nyquist and Samberg are in line to return to the lineup tonight.
With the return of these two only Cole Koepke and Morgan Barron remain out for the Jets meaning GM Kevin Cheveldayoff will have to make some difficult roster decisions in the coming days.
Ultimately, these decisions are a good thing for the Jets as they get talented veterans back in the lineup who will be crucial to the team's success come playoff time.
