The Abbotsford Canucks have announced a major change to their arena name, as they will now play out of the newly-named Rogers Forum. The home of the 2025 Calder Cup champion Abbotsford Canucks is getting a brand new name.
What is being affected by this name change
Under a new agreement between the City of Abbotsford, Canucks Sports & Entertainment, and Rogers Communications, the formerly known Abbotsford Centre will be rebranded as the Rogers Forum. We're excited to expand our partnership with Canucks Sports & Entertainment and bring Rogers Forum to life as a hub for players, fans and families in the Fraser Valley, said Terrie Tweddle, Chief Brand and Communications Officer, Rogers. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to connecting fans in BC to the best experiences - on the ice, on the stage, and in the community.

Loading from Twitter ...

The move is a major extension of a partnership that began with the creation of CSE and Rogers, continuing their shared quest to raise the bar for all forms of entertainment in British Columbia. The deal also makes Rogers the Official Telecommunications Partner of the Abbotsford Canucks. Since it first opened its doors in 2009, Rogers Forum has been the number one stop in the Fraser Valley for live sports and entertainment. It remains home to the Abbotsford Canucks and a variety of youth and adult hockey leagues, while also hosting major concerts and events featuring Cirque du Soleil, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Jerry Seinfeld, and Sesame Street, to name a few.
Why the organization decided to rebrand
The new name builds upon more than a decade of collaboration between Rogers and the Vancouver Canucks, spanning media and broadcast partnerships through Sportsnet, and supporting grassroots hockey initiatives with the Canucks for Kids Fund. Refreshed signage, enhanced experiences, and community-focused events are just some of the many items fans can look forward to as the venue begins its next chapter as the Rogers Forum. The rebrand to Rogers Forum represents an exciting new chapter for both the Abbotsford Canucks as they continue to build their presence in the Fraser Valley and for the community at large. Stronger partnerships and fresh investment set the stage for more memorable moments inside the venue in the coming years.
