Vancouver Canucks' Filip Chytil was involved in a dangerous, rather dirty hit against the Chicago Blackhawks that saw him get slammed heavily into the boards.

The Vancouver Canucks enhanced their playoff hopes with a 6-2 defeat of the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday evening, but at the cost of Filip Chytil's possible injury due to a vicious Jason Dickinson hit.
Chytil, 25, had already had a trying season, playing just 10 games for the Rangers due to concussion issues. That experience made Dickinson's hit even more concerning.
As Chytil skated in along the boards to make an easy play, Dickinson hit him from behind and drove him hard into the boards.
Chytil stayed down for a few minutes, unable to stand before crumpling back to the ice in clear pain. His first reaction was to put his arms over his head, and replays showed his head to be jerked back from the impact before he fell.
In a bit of a surprise, no Canucks player called Dickinson out directly. However, tensions would flare in the game's later stages with Derek Forbort, Conor Garland, and Filip Hronek engaging in a fight with Connor Bedard and Lukas Reichel.

Many 10-minute misconducts were handed out later in the game

Bedard, Frank Nazar, Hronek, and Garland all ended up with 10-minute misconducts. For Bedard, it was his second game in a row with such a penalty, something rare for a player of his ilk.
Dickinson escaped with no punishment for the hit on Chytil, and no immediate word was available on Chytil's condition.
Fans of the Canucks will remember that Connor Zary recently received a minor penalty for elbowing Elias Pettersson, sending him to the hospital. Zary was then suspended for two games.
With Chytil's history of injury, the NHL Department of Player Safety can give even more scrutiny to Dickinson's check as we find out more about this from the Canucks hopefully later today.
