Vancouver Canucks fans look on in disappointment

The Vancouver Canucks are phasing out quarter-season ticket packages next year in a move that is wildly unpopular with fans, who are voicing their anger online.

For nearly 30 years, quarter-season ticket packages have been sold by the Vancouver Canucks, but not for much longer.
Traditionally, Canucks season tickets have been sold in three package forms: full-season (43 games), half-season (22 games), and quarter-season (10-11 games).
While the team's website is still listing all three on its site, the people who call to request quarter-season packs are now being told that they're not available.

Instead, the team is introducing "partial packages," which are explained to be a "similar experience" but of a different design. There is little that is known about them since the Canucks have not returned calls when contacted for more information.
The Canucks removed the Toronto Maple Leafs game from quarter-season packs last summer, leaving more single-game sales available for the most costly matchup of the season. The move may be part of a bigger strategy shift.
Season ticket holders receive perks like discounted tickets, playoff priority, and special events.
Quarter-season members have been holding those memberships since 1995 when they were known as "Ice Paks." Fans aren't happy about these recent changes to eliminate quarter-season packages.

It appears this change will be grandfathered in

Current members are apparently being grandfathered in. One post on Reddit from user 'shadownet97' states that renewals are allowed, but once a person drops out, they will no longer be able to purchase back a quarter-season membership.
"I opted out of my 25-26 quarter season membership and got the acknowledgment email today," the fan said on Reddit. "I wasn't expecting for them to remove quarter season for new members or if I decided to opt in again in the future."

The Canucks have increased ticket prices significantly following their best season in over a decade.
Prices will go up once again during next year's season, enraging numerous fans, especially considering the team's poor performance during the 2024-25 season, having achieved the second-lowest number of home wins in the NHL.
The Canucks were contacted for further comment on this matter but they have not released any statement as of yet.
