The Edmonton Oilers continue to struggle putting wins together and today goaltender Stuart Skinner spoke to the media about the mindset in the locker room.

Over the last several weeks the Edmonton Oilers have shown major signs of frustration as they are just 3-7 in their last 10 games.
Despite being aggressive at the NHL Trade Deadline adding several pieces including Jake Walman and Trent Frederic things still seem disjointed for the Oilers both on and off the ice.
From front to back, the Oilers have not played up to expectation and one player who has been particularly criticized is goalie Stuart Skinner who continues to be inconsistent.
With these frustrating performances, many fans were hoping the Oilers would trade for a goalie at the deadline, but of course, that did not happen.
During a new interview, Skinner spoke to the media about his poor play and why his and his teammates' lack of success could have a silver lining heading into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Stuart Skinner Believes There Is Value In The Edmonton Oilers Current Struggles

Despite being unable to rack up wins as of late the Edmonton Oilers are still comfortably in a playoff spot and look to be on a clear track to be playing games that truly matter.
With the Oilers comfortably in the playoffs goalie Stuart Skinner believes that facing adversity and hardship during the regular season is a good and valuable thing to experience.
As a team, we've talked about it and we think it can be the best thing for us, going through something difficult and going through adversity before the big stretch, Skinner said.

With the playoffs approaching quickly and that important stretch run coming even sooner Skinner still knows things need to improve sooner rather than later.
This could be perfect for us, going through this, having to battle it out, a good time for us to come together as a team and figure things out, so when the time comes again - and it always does - we know how to deal with it

While peaking at the right time can help boost a good team to new heights that peak does need to come with enough time in the season.
With 18 games left in the season for the Oilers, they are starting to run out of games to get that spark back.
The next opportunity for the Oilers to put it all together comes tomorrow against the New York Islanders.
