Leaked Video Shows Connor McDavid Going at It with Kris Knoblauch on the Team's Bench

The Edmonton Oilers' woes persist. Following a promising victory over the Dallas Stars on Saturday, they went on to lose 3-2 to the Buffalo Sabres on Monday, showing they're still not over their slump.

While the Oilers have weathered difficult times before and will likely recover before the playoffs, frustration is clearly mounting. Leon Draisaitl appeared to have an argument with goalie Stuart Skinner after a loss to Florida last week.

Connor McDavid was visibly frustrated Monday night when he left the ice. In the final minute, with their goalie out of the game, the Oilers also had two faceoffs in the Oilers' zone.

Head coach Kris Knoblauch never called a timeout before the first draw, taking his skaters' speed against a fatigued Sabres team.

When Buffalo iced the puck, giving their players the rest they desperately needed, it seemed it was the perfect time for a timeout, but Knoblauch waited anyway. The gamble proved costly.

Fans were not the only ones who were baffled. McDavid gazed at the bench prior to the second faceoff as if requesting a timeout.

While he maintained his composure then, cameras later caught him venting to Knoblauch after the final buzzer in a leaked video.

This is out of character from McDavid, who tends to remain unflappable under pressure. His irritation may be partially a result of his own game, as he has not been playing at his usual elite standard since coming back from the 4 Nations Face-Off.
