This afternoon the Vancouver Canucks have received devastating news regarding the injuries to both Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander as the playoffs approach.

At the time of their injuries, it was unknown how long both players would be out of the lineup for the Canucks as more testing was needed.
Unfortunately, the team has now made the announcement that both Pettersson and Hoglander will miss at least the next 4 games with their respective injuries.
This injury for Pettersson in particular comes at a devastating time as he was just starting to find his game again after the NHL Trade Deadline looking like the elite game-changing forward that many fans had been clamoring to see him be.
As for the Canucks playoff hopes this news also puts a severe shadow over their potential chances of making the Stanley Cup Playoffs altogether.
Currently, the Canucks sit 5 points out of a playoff spot and were already missing second-line center Filip Chytil who is dealing with an injury of his own.
Now Rick Tocchet and the Canucks will have to get creative for at least the next four games to keep the team alive in the playoff race until their star contributors can return.
As more details are confirmed regarding the injuries to both Pettersson and Hoglander we will pass the latest news along to you.
