Quinn Hughes Shares An Update On His Injury Recovery After Returning To The Lineup

Earlier this week Quinn Hughes finally returned to the Canucks lineup after dealing with an undisclosed injury that kept him out of the 4 Nations Face-Off.

The injury frustratingly kept Hughes on the shelf for longer than expected, but he had a promising game when he returned against the Flames.

Hughes played almost 30 minutes in the contest against the Flames and tallied an assist in the 4-3 win.

Since making this impressive return to the lineup not much had been known about Hughes' health and body after playing so many minutes in his first game back with the Canucks.

Tonight that all has changed as Hughes spoke to the media and discussed how his body feels and what his mindset is heading into the rest of the season.

In a new interview with the media ahead of tonight's game Quinn Hughes was asked how his body feels after re-entering the lineup.

Hughes admitted it was great to be back on the ice and revealed that the injury he has been dealing with over the last few games is related to earlier injuries from the beginning of the season.

Now as Hughes mentions in his media availability it is about performing on the ice and securing a Stanley Cup Playoff spot for the Canucks.

Head coach Rick Tocchet also spoke to the media about his captain today revealing that the presence of Hughes in the lineup had a calming impact on the rest of the team.

The Canucks currently sit tied for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference with the Calgary Flames.

Hughes' next chance to show he is back to full strength will be tomorrow as the Canucks take on the struggling Chicago Blackhawks.
