Canucks head coach Adam Foote has revealed several key injury updates regarding four players, including the talented Filip Chytil. The Canucks were banking on Filip Chytil having a significant role on the team, and so it seemed in the first six games. The center had scored three goals, second on the team, and was one of the best players based on analytics. Chytil's play has, however, been limited since a strong blow from Washington's Tom Wilson on Oct. 19. The team recently got news from head coach Adam Foote about Chytil's status, as he has been ruled out of action while recovering in Vancouver. He's gotten better, Foote said. But he's not yet doing workouts and things like that.

Loading from Twitter ...

In the meantime, a newcomer, Lukas Reichel, has been used on the second line at center, but he has been struggling to find his spot, recording zero points in his first seven games as the Canucks have been scored on 9-3 while he is on the ice. Since Chytil's injury, the Canucks have won only three of their nine games without a single regulation win.
Teddy Blueger doesn't appear to be anywhere close to being ready yet
Foote also gave updates on three other Canucks players. Teddy Blueger, who was also injured in the same game on Oct. 19, took part in a morning skate but didn't practice on Friday. He wanted to be part of this practice, but he's not ready, Foote said. Forward Jonathan Lekkerimäki, another player injured in the same game, keeps working towards a comeback. Lekker is skating, Foote said. I think he's getting close. Meanwhile, Nils Höglander, whose season has been sidetracked because of an injury to his ankle, is potentially on the cusp of a return. He's progressing ahead of schedule with what he's doing, but he's not close to a practice, Foote said. The initial 8-10 weeks following his injury on Sept. 29 means he could potentially return on Nov. 17, as the Canucks finish their Eastern Canadian road trip. If he does not travel, he could see his first action on Nov. 20, as the Canucks have a home date against Dallas. The Canucks are hoping that a boost from the eventual returning forward talents can bring some much-needed cohesion to a lineup that has lacked magic since mid-October. Fans are hoping that at the very least, the team finds any way possible to try and stay healthy.
