Defenseman Victor Mancini has been assigned to Abbotsford of the AHL, and in turn, forward Joseph LaBate and defenseman Jimmy Schuldt have been recalled from the team. After review, there was surprisingly no penalty on the play. The 26-year-old has three goals in six games to start this season for Vancouver. He scored 13 goals and 26 points in 56 games combined between the Canucks and New York Rangers last season. As for Lekkerimäki , it is unclear as to what caused the injury. It appears that it happened in the first period, where he recorded just over four minutes of ice time and logged a hit. Lekkerimäki drew into the lineup after it was announced that Brock Boeser would miss Sunday's matchup due to personal reasons. It doesn't appear to be injury-related for Boeser. Lekkerimaki has one goal in four games this season after splitting time last season between the NHL and AHL.
