Per a new report, the Edmonton Oilers are reportedly interested in a potential trade of 11 year veteran Mattias Janmark before this year's Trade Deadline. The <a href='https://www.houseofhockey.net/nhl-team/edmonton-oilers/out-of-sync-connor-mcdavid-makes-a-harsh-statement-on-the-oilers-this-season' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Edmonton Oilers</a>, who are the 2x reigning Western Conference champions, made multiple changes to their team over the summer, mostly in terms of subtractions. The Oilers traded Evander Kane to the divisional foe Vancouver Canucks, while they also lost players like Corey Perry, Connor Brown and Jeff Skinner to free agency. Per a new report from NHL analyst Frank Seravalli, they could be thinking of a potential trade of 11 year veteran Mattias Janmark by the time the Trade Deadline rolls around in March. He would play the next handful of years in a Stars sweater before eventually signing a 1 year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks. But he would be once again traded as part of a 3 team trade to the Vegas Golden Knights. He's been with the Oilers since signing with them as a UFA in 2022, and also scored a goal in Game 7 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final against the Panthers, which Edmonton lost.
