Jack Roslovic has only just arrived in Edmonton, but according to David Pagnotta, there's a chance that he could be moved quickly if he doesn't stand out. The Edmonton Oilers had a very busy off-season, and while it took until the regular season began, the team finally locked in Jack Roslovic after plenty of speculation throughout the summer. The signing brought with it plenty of optimism, as Roslovic has the versatility to play up the middle and on the wing, and with the injury to Zach Hyman and the departure of several veterans in the summer, this is the exact type of replacement they need in the middle-six.
Roslovic could be an early departure from Edmonton
In three games played, Roslovic has tallied just one assist while having a +2 goal differential, and while he was a relatively cheap signing for depth purposes, there's plenty of pressure on his shoulders. That pressure has grown recently, as insider David Pagnotta has revealed that if Roslovic doesn't click with the Oilers early, there are ways for the team to move off of him before the 2026 trade deadline. If it doesn't work out, they'll have options to move him.

Loading from Twitter ...

This isn't the first we've heard of it from Insider's around the NHL, and while we don't quite know what would qualify as 'working out' with Roslovic in Edmonton, having this type of talk just after arriving must put immense pressure on the talented forward. Ultimately, Roslovic can play a very key role for the Oilers this season with his versatility up and down the lineup, and while there's a chance he's moved at some point, for now, there's plenty of hope that he could be a crucial part of this team moving forward.
