The Oilers are going to be looking a lot different tonight vs. the Rangers as Jack Roslovic will make his debut, and the lines have shuffled quite a bit. Oilers insider Bob Stauffer revealed the likely Oilers lines for tonight's contest against the New York Rangers, and there are some changes to make note of. Andrew Mangiapane is promoted up to the top line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and Jack Roslovic debuts for the Oilers on the second line. Matt Savoie remains there also, with Roslovic and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. Noah Philp is scratched, unfortunately, with Isaac Howard remaining in.
Alec Regula Could Be Out With an Injury, But It's Still Unknown
On defense, Alec Regula wasn't on the ice this morning, unsure if that's due to injury or a line shift. If he's out, then Troy Stecher could be the man in. Regula, who missed all of last season due to injuries, played well in his first couple of games before sustaining a big hit from Evander Kane late in Saturday night's game against Vancouver. Trent Frederic gets a break from the top line and will anchor what Kris Knoblauch refers to as his heavy checking unit.

Loading from Twitter ...

Although he skated well with McDavid and Draisaitl earlier, the move makes sense as part of Knoblauch's strategy to deploy Frederic's size at times down the lineup. Adam Henrique's fourth line, featuring Isaac Howard and David Tomasek, holds together but continues to search for its first good scoring opportunity. Oilers projected lines: Draisaitl-McDavid-Mangiapane Savoie-RNH-Roslovic Podkolzin-Frederic-Kapanen Howard-Henrique-Tomasek Extras: Janmark (IR), Philp, Lazar Ekholm-Bouchard Nurse-Stecher Kulak-Emberson Walman (IR) Skinner Pickard Rangers projected lines: Panarin-Zibanejad-Lafrenière Cuylle-Miller-Sheary Brodzinski-Laba-Raddysh Edström-Carrick-Rempe Gavrikov-Fox Robertson-Borgen Vaakanainen-Schneider With two goals in two games, Mangiapane's promotion is logical. Roslovic's debut brings speed and playmaking to a second line that would wreak havoc on other teams if chemistry develops early. Despite Calvin Pickard playing as well as he did in Vancouver, Stuart Skinner is in the net tonight as the Oilers attempt to find some life from their new-look offense.
