Oilers forward David Tomasek reportedly abandons the team in the middle of the season to go back overseas

The contract of Edmonton Oilers forward David Tomasek has reportedly been terminated and he plans on returning to the SHL.
The Edmonton Oilers are the two-time defending Western Conference champions, but it looks as though they are losing a piece of their forward depth.
Forward David Tomasek, who signed a one year contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $1.2 million for this season, is reportedly having his contract terminated and he'll allegedly return to Farjestad BK in the SHL, Sweden's top hockey league.
Per multiple reports, forward David Tomasek, who was playing in his first year in the NHL, has had his contract terminated, and he allegedly plans on returning to Farjestad BK in the SHL, where he previously played.
David Tomasek and the Oilers have terminated there mutual contract, he'll head back to the SHL.
Oilers don't need to make a deal , and regain that cap space.
Tough for Tomasek , he really didn't get that much of a shot here , I do think his skates weren't gonna keep up in the long run, he had some okay moments but he wasn't gonna stick in even the top 9 I don't think, feet just weren't there.

The Oilers Signed David Tomasek To A One Year Contract In April
Never drafted into the NHL, Tomasek made his debut in professional hockey with HC Pardubice during the 2015-16 Czech Extraliga season.
He was the leading scorer in the SHL last year with 57 points (24G, 33A) in 47 games played.
He didn't make much of an impact with the Oilers in his first and what appears to be only experience in the NHL, and Edmonton will be able to utilize his cap space toward something else.
