Edmonton Oilers Sign Standout Winger from Boston University, per Elliotte Friedman

On Saturday, Boston University suffered a heartbreaking 6-2 loss against Western Michigan University in the National Championship Game, and as a result, the college careers of many talented young players came to an end.

One of those players is Quinn Hutson, the older brother of both Lane and Cole who are thriving in the NHL and the NCAA, and now, after a solid third year with BU, he's headed to the NHL.

Not long after the game, it was announced that the undrafted forward had signed a two-year Entry Level Contract with the Edmonton Oilers that was set to begin immediately.

While that last name has quickly become one that brings with it plenty of expectations, Quinn has a few years of solid production under his belt, and he's more than capable of making an impact in Edmonton.

Whether that means he'll play immediately or not, only time will tell, but given the Oilers injuries in recent times, they could do a lot worse than adding the 23-year old into their forward group.

In his final NCAA season, Hutson posted an impressive 23 goals and 50 points in just 38 games played, and while he's on the shorter side at 5-foot-11, he's got the talent and the shot to overcome and make an impact in the NHL.

Now, we wait and see how this all plays out for Hutson, but with great talent and a great college career behind him, don't be surprised to see him succeed at the next level if he's given the right situation and the right opportunities.
