Jeremy Swayman had a tough start to 2024/25, and now, it's been revealed that the Oilers tried to take advantage and land the star goaltender from Boston. The Edmonton Oilers have turned their goaltending around in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and after a rough start from Stuart Skinner, he's back to looking like a legit No. 1 at this point in time. The team didn't always have that faith in him however, as they were reportedly looking to land a big fish at the trade deadline, with a recent report revealing which goaltender they were targeting at the 2025 NHL trade deadline.
