Derek Ryan's time with Edmonton has come and gone, and now the veteran forward has bid a heartfelt farewell to the team he's been with the last four years. For the past seven years, Derek Ryan has played his NHL hockey in Alberta, following three seasons with the Calgary Flames by joining the Edmonton Oilers for the next four. While Ryan hasn't revealed his future in hockey yet, we now officially know he won't be playing with the Oilers anymore, but given his connection to the team and the city, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him back one day once his playing career is over.
