Following the Oilers' 3-0 win in Game 2 against the Stars, Connor McDavid took to the airwaves to fire a shot at all those who questioned their defense.

Connor McDavid isn't buying into the idea that the Edmonton Oilers are just an offense-centric juggernaut.
Stuart Skinner posted his third shutout of the last four games with 25 saves, and he also shut out the Vegas Golden Knights in Games 4 and 5 of the second round before posting this victory.
McDavid emphasized the value of defense by the team, and it appeared he was taking shots at all those who doubted him and his team.
"Yes, we can play defence."

Skinner's three shutouts this postseason equal a franchise playoff record, tying Curtis Joseph's 1998 mark. Skinner is second in Oilers history in career playoff shutouts with four, one behind only Joseph.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch lauded the defensive play of the team but noted Skinner's big saves, particularly when Dallas surged late in the game.
Skinner was a stalwart in the third period, giving up no goals on all nine shots faced, including seven high-danger opportunities to the Stars.
Following a rocky start to the playoffs and barely playing any games during Round 1, Skinner returned to the ice in Round 2 after Calvin Pickard got injured.
He's taken it from there, earning a .890 save percentage and 2.90 goals-against average in seven playoff appearances. The Oilers are showing they're more than just offense, and Skinner is leading the way.

McDavid also became a part of NHL history during last night's game

McDavid also made history in the game, as he hit the 20-point mark in the playoffs for the fourth consecutive playoff run, making him the fourth player in NHL history to do so, and the first ever Oiler.
