Stars' Roope Hintz was slashed by Darnell Nurse, and coach Peter DeBoer erupted post-game, where he said if that was Connor McDavid, it would be a major.

The Dallas Stars were clearly outraged after a 3-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 2, and much of that anger was directed at Darnell Nurse.
The game grew intense when Stars forward Roope Hintz departed in the third period after a slash by Nurse in front of the Oilers' net.
Originally graded as a five-minute major, the penalty was overturned and was reduced to a slashing minor of two minutes after review. Hintz did not return, and his status for Game 3 is uncertain.

Peter DeBoer name dropped Connor McDavid during his interview

Stars head coach Peter DeBoer didn't try to conceal his discontent after the game, calling out the hit. wondering if the call would have been made differently if the player involved was one like Connor McDavid.
"Does anyone in this room in this room think if Connor McDavid gets carried off the ice like that, it's not a five-minute major?" DeBoer said. "If that's 97 carried off the ice in the same situation, I think we all know the answer to what that looks like for us."
Captain Jamie Benn shared that sentiment, too. Forward Mason Marchment took it a step further, implying the Stars won't soon forget the hit going into Sunday's game-deciding Game 3 in Edmonton.
"We didn't like it. If that was McDavid walking down the tunnel, I would like to see the result of that," Benn said, according to The Athletic's Mark Lazarus.

"There was some intent [on that slash], that's one of our best players and I don't think it was enough," Marchment said, per Mac Engel of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "A lot of that stuff, you just keep in the back of your mind, and if opportunity presents itself, then you take your chance."

"We've got a long series here."

Tensions are obviously building with the series shifting to the Oilers' home rink. The Stars have been outplayed in five of six already and now have to get past the challenge of coming back on the road.
And as for Nurse, he can have his head on a swivel if he wants to, but the Oilers must avoid letting themselves get suckered in with payback and stay locked into the game that's gotten them ahead.
