We have our final four in the Patrik Laine trade sweepstakes. The Columbus Blue Jackets and GM Don Waddell are nearing a deal where they'll be rid of their disgruntled forward. Laine was cleared to return from the NHLPA Assistance program, which now allows him to talk to other teams. According to Hockey Buzz, the top contender for the former second overall pick seems to be the Carolina Hurricanes, but the Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks and Montreal Canadiens are also in the mix. Per other reports, the Washington Capitals annd Buffalo Sabres even made offers for him.
