The Athletic's X post says Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk called out the White House for pushing an AI video, and you could hear the anger in his reply.

Tkachuk didn't hedge. He said it was "clearly fake," not his voice, not his words, and not who he is.
That matters because he plays in Canada every night, wears the C in Ottawa, and knows exactly how fast this stuff can light a fuse.
The White House's official TikTok account shared the clip, using AI-generated audio to make it look like Brady and Matthew Tkachuk trashed Canadians.
The fake audio was nasty, and Tkachuk's point was simple: do not put that in my mouth.
"Well, it's clearly fake It's not my voice. It's not what I was saying. I would never say that. That's not who I am. I don't like that video because that's just never come out of my mouth."

If you're Ottawa, this is the nightmare crossover episode you never asked for.
The Senators captain is already a lightning rod on the ice. Now he's stuck swatting politics off his name, too.

Brady Tkachuk and the Ottawa Senators get dragged in

Sens fans are exhausted by the noise, and the idea of their captain being used for a cheap clip feels gross.
Tkachuk also denied he yelled "close the northern border" during a celebratory call, another line that spread fast online.
Here's the hockey layer. Ottawa is 28-22-8, and they need their top-six tone-setter focused on points, not cleanup duty.
Tkachuk sits at 15-23-38 this season, the kind of production that drives the forecheck and keeps the man advantage honest.
The bigger fear is precedent. If an official account will post a deepfake of a captain today, who gets clipped tomorrow.
Tkachuk snapped because he had to. Now the next milestone is simple: keep winning, and let the rink be the only place he has to answer.
