There was a telling scene this morning at the Canadiens' practice

And one thing we can never take away from him is his intensity. Even today, in practice, he gives 100%. It's not uncommon to see him stay after practice to do extra time with players who are out of training. It's also not uncommon to see him participate in drills.

Before practice, he even makes a habit of jogging up and down the stairs of the amphitheater.

The guy is extremely fit.

And so are his assistants. We had a good example of that today.

Here, it's St. Louis and Robidas. They're 100%. And like it or not, that has an impact on the players. How can guys drag their boots in practice when even the coaches are struggling like this?

On this team, there are no half measures. Especially not right now. The Habs aren't the most talented team, but it's very rare that they get caught working less than the opposition.

And that comes from these kinds of sequences.
