Lindbom was selected by the Golden Knights in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and played the previous season with Djurgårdens IF in Sweden's HockeyAllsvenskan league. His outstanding performance earned him the titles of Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year after maintaining a remarkable 1.86 goals-against average and achieving seven shutouts in 36 games.

At the young age of 20, Lindbom has also represented Sweden in the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship held in Canada. During the tournament, he demonstrated his skills by maintaining a 2.64 goals-against average and an impressive .914 save percentage, including two shutouts in seven games.
His contributions played a significant role in his team's 4-3 record. Additionally, Lindbom won a bronze medal at the World Junior Championship in 2022.
