The Edmonton Oilers have one of the most stacked offensive groups in the NHL, but with a lack of depth showing itself in the playoffs, it appears they're still looking to make some moves ahead of training camp.

Another veteran

This summer, we've seen the Oilers linked to veterans like Patrick Kane, while bringing in the likes of Brandon Sutter and Sam Gagner, but this latest link would be a big time move.
According to Allan Mitchell of The Athletic, Edmonton could look to trade for 14-year veteran Adam Henrique of the Anaheim Ducks.
Henrique of the Anaheim Ducks is close to an ideal candidate. He carries a cap hit of $5.825 million, which could be problematic but is not insurmountable. Henrique plays 35 percent of his five-on-five time versus elites according to Puck IQ. His possession number relative to teammates is strong against all opponents, including elites. Henrique's expected goal share five-on-five (45.4 percent) looks poor, but shines like a diamond (No.1) compared to other Ducks centres.

A solid contributor

While he's now 33-years of age, Henrique was still a great contributor for Anaheim a season ago, with 22 goals and 37 points on a less than stellar Ducks team.
Whether this move comes before the season or at the trade deadline, it's the type of cheap deal that could help this team in a big way, so keep your eyes on Edmonton and the veteran trade market going forward.
