Big move for the Blue Jackets? Yesterday's trade may just be the tip of the iceberg

Late last night, the Columbus Blue Jackets made a major trade with the Los Angeles Kings.

They sent goaltender Joonas Korpisalo and defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to the Kings in exchange for veteran goaltender Jonathan Quick, a first round pick in 2023, and a third round pick in 2024.
However, according to the information currently circulating behind the scenes of the NHL, this Columbus transaction would be only the tip of the iceberg.
According to reports from informants Pierre LeBrun and Darren Dreger, the Jackets could use the added pieces to the organization to complete two trades.
On the one hand, Jonathan Quick was a necessary grab in the deal so that the Kings could free up payroll space to complete the transaction. However, the Jackets would have already placed him on the market to get a return from a team looking to add depth in front of the net.
Where it gets even more interesting is that team GM Jarmo Kekalainen is reportedly very active in the case of defenseman Jakob Chychrun. With the first round pick in yesterday's trade, they now have the pieces to satisfy the Arizona Coyotes' demands.
Not wanting to include his own first-round pick, which is expected to be in the top-5, Kekalainen was desperate to get another first-round pick to try and make a trade for Chychrun.
It looks like there could be more action in the next few days.
