The former captain of the Montreal Canadiens, Max Pacioretty, has not had an easy time of it in the last few years, as he has been marked by numerous injuries, including a new Achilles tendon tear last January.

This one prematurely ended his 2022-23 season, after only five games with the Carolina Hurricanes.
He played 39 games the previous season, scoring 19 goals, for a total of 40 points in 44 games.
The 34-year-old forward will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and could be of interest to the CH, according to Marc Dumont, a former Habs employee.
Dumont also mentioned Alex DeBrincat as another option for the team, but it must be said that this idea is unrealistic, especially since his player profile is identical to Cole Caufield.
With a Josh Anderson potentially being traded at a high price in the 2023 draft, he believes Kent Hughes could benefit from another, lower-cost goal scorer like the latter.
If Pacioretty is healthy and willing to sign a cheap contract, he could help the team next season.
Would you sign the former #67, for two or three years, at $2-3 million per season?
The question is whether Pacioretty would want to finish his career in the uniform of the team that drafted him in 2007, 16 years ago.
It's an interesting idea to consider.
