OHL Suspends Canucks Prospect Following Police Investigation
The league announced today that Canucks 6th round draft pick Connor Lockhart has been suspended indefinitely after it was revealed that he is under investigation by Durham regional police.
TSN reporter Rick Westhead, who has earned a reputation as being one of the best investigative journalists in the hockey world, confirmed the story himself. He did not, however have any new details in the case.
Fellow investigative journalist Katie Strang also reported on the story, adding that she reached out to Durham police for further details on the case. The department was not willing to divulge any further information however.
Lockhart has 20 goals and 39 points in 30 games this season with the Oshawa generals. He remains unsigned by Vancouver.
