After tonight’s game, Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff has called for Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov to be suspended for his slash on Rasmus Dahlin.
The Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins faced off today in a crucial game four to determine the momentum of their first round series.
The Sabres came out on fire and dominated the Bruins taking home a 6-1 win and taking a 3-1 stranglehold on the series overall.
In the dying minutes of the game, with the score out of hand, Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov took a big swing at Rasmus Dahlin cross checking him in the back.
Zadorov was given a five minute major penalty and ejected from the game opening himself up to further discipline.
Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff spoke after the game and shared his belief that Zadorov should be suspended for his actions.

In his post game press conference, Ruff was asked about the cross check from Zadorov.
Ruff admitted he understood why the frustrated Zadorov acted the way that he did but Ruff also believes if this play happened in the regular season a suspension would be required.
It's not a play you want. I'm pretty sure that if that if that's regular season, that might even be a suspension. Could have easily broke Rasmus’ arm.
While Ruff does not seem optimistic that the NHL Department of Player Safety will step in the clear reckless and unnecessary actions of Zadorov almost certainly deserve further punishment.
Over the next 24 hours, all eyes will be on George Parros to see if he steps in and punishes Zadorov or if the Bruins defenseman gets away with his actions.
As more information is provided on Zadorov’s potential punishment and suspension we will pass the latest news along to you.
