Utah NHL blows over Mullett Arena capacity in season ticket holders

The Utah NHL team's season ticket vouchers are in high demand, as in a matter of hours over 6000 have been sold.

Revealed to the public by the new owner of the franchise, Ryan Smith, it seems that ticket sales will not be a problem for the Utah NHL team. For returning players this may come as a setting change, playing in front of more than 5000 fans. The franchises previous arena, Mullett Arena, which was shared between the NHL team and the Arizona State University Hockey Team, had a max capacity of only around 5000 people. This was blown out of the water by fans in Utah who are eager to enjoy hockey in Salt Lake City. 6000 season tickets were sold in two hours from release.





The Delta Centre holds over 18000 fans for basketball games but due to a larger floor surface area needed to play hockey the capacity shrinks to around 14000 fans to attend. This is a good step for hockey as in two hours the capacity for a hockey game in Utah has almost reached half full. Keep in mind, this amount of success has come to a team with no logo, colourway, or brand.
