Ryan Lomberg called Tristan Jarry “Swiss cheese,” and the Battle of Alberta got even louder.

Calgary beat Edmonton 4-3 on Wednesday at the Saddledome, and Lomberg’s winner became the quote of the night.
The Flames are now 23-27-6, and they walked into the break with a little swagger.
The Oilers dropped their third straight and sit 28-22-8, with the room sounding pretty irritated after.
Jarry stopped 21 shots, but four got through, and the timing made it sting.
Lomberg’s go-ahead goal at 6:44 of the third period was the backbreaker, a messy rebound jam that screamed “greasy” in the best way.
Sportsnet captured the moment Lomberg leaned into the joke.
Then a second clip circled with the full “shot at Jarry” framing from a pod account.

Ryan Lomberg turns Calgary Flames energy into a jab

Flames fans live for this stuff, because it finally feels like the team is pushing back instead of just surviving.
The “Swiss cheese” line lands because Jarry didn’t just allow goals, he looked like he wanted one of them back.
Even Jarry owned the Lomberg winner, saying he needed to keep that rebound closer.
That’s the whole story in one play, a loose puck, a lost battle, and Lomberg pouncing first.
Devin Cooley’s 36-save night gave Calgary the platform to chirp, because the Flames actually got saves when the game tilted.
Leon Draisaitl scoring twice kept Edmonton close, but the Oilers still bled goals at the worst moments.
If Edmonton sticks with Jarry next game out of the break, that crease is going to feel heavy.
