During last night’s contest between the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights things got heated and now a hot mic has caught some of the trash talk between the two teams.
The Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights find themselves both still battling for a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
With both teams needing every point each game, last night’s rivalry game had the intensity turned up to the max as both teams look to finally secure their spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Golden Knights would come out on top in a 5-1 rout of the Oilers drawing within one point of Edmonton in the standings.
After the game as the team’s headed back to their locker room Oilers’ defenseman Connor Murphy was caught on a hot mic trash talking Rasmus Andersson.

In a new video posted on social media, Murphy can be heard comparing Andersson to Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson in some way.
While the audio is not the clearest Murphy is obviously upset and is using Wilson as an example in a demeaning way.
Another angle caught the entire Oilers group getting in on the trash talk as Trent Frederic and others went at the Golden Knights.
With the Pacific Division being so close at the moment, there is a good chance we could see the Oilers and Golden Knights match up in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
If that ends up being the case, look out for the series to be filled with hate and aggression as both sides clearly do not like one another.
