This evening a new advanced stat provided by JFresh has put five players on Western Canadian teams in elite company.

The NHL offseason creates a lot of downtime for those who cover the NHL to fine tune their craft and develop new ways to look at the product on the ice.
This evening notable NHL personality and analytics expert JFresh has done exactly that as he has created a new stat that he has self titled "Stuff per 60".
The new advanced metric determines which players are doing the most during their time on the ice and which players are just out there for a skate.
When revealing the best players in this new statistic three Winnipeg Jets players and two Edmonton Oilers players cracked the top 10 for their respective positions.

Five Western Canadian Players Led The Way In 2024-25 In New NHL Advanced Stat

In a post on X, JFresh revealed the top forwards and defensemen in «Stuff Per 60» from the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Looking at the forwards Vasily Podkolzin and former Winnipeg Jets Nikolaj Ehlers both cracked the top 10 with Podkolzin coming in third behind Parker Kelly and Nathan MacKinnon.
Switching over to the defensive side of play the Winnipeg Jets unsurprisingly continue their dominance on this list as both Luke Schenn and Logan Stanley make the top 10 joined by Oilers star defenseman Evan Bouchard.
While the Stanley Cup Playoffs provides a small sample size this goes to show which players are relied upon most by their teams when the games mean the absolute most.
It will be interesting to see if Nikolaj Ehlers can keep up these impressive stats with his new team in Detroit.
As for those who remain in Western Canada Podkzolin, Schenn, Stanley, and Bouchard will all look to build on these impressive performances for next season.
