The Winnipeg Jets have plenty of optimism heading into next season, but now The Hockey Writers have revealed three questions the team need to answer for success.

Last season was a very successful campaign for the Winnipeg Jets in the regular season, as they finished first in the Western Conference while Connor Hellebuyck won not only the Vezina Trophy, but the Hart Trophy for Most Valuable Player in the National Hockey League.
They would ultimately fall in round two to the Dallas Stars however, and as a result, they came into the off-season needing to answer plenty of questions, especially with Nikolaj Ehlers departing the team in free agency.
Now, The Hockey Writers have come up with three questions that the Jets face heading into 2025/26, and unsurprisingly, the first one revolves around Ehlers, as the team must figure out who can score goals on this team with Ehlers gone and the top-six getting a shakeup.
The next question is all about their biggest signing of the off-season, Manitoba boy Jonathan Toews, with the team needing to figure out what his role is and what type of production they can get from him in 2025/26 after two years away from the NHL.
Finally, the team need to decide early in the year what a successful season would be for them, and with the changes to their roster what would be their ultimate goal, with many fans once again expecting them to be genuine contenders for the Stanley Cup after some stellar regular seasons in recent times.
On paper, this remains a team that can compete in a wide open, competitive Central Division, but unless they can figure these three things out heading into next season, it's going to be a very interesting campaign for the Jets.
