PuckPedia's waiver report on Thursday moved real cap dollars, with Evgenii Dadonov, Luke Glendening, and Maxim Tsyplakov all placed on waivers.

Dadonov, 36, carries a $1,000,000 cap hit for 2025-26, and New Jersey clearly wants the cleanest possible ledger spot for Friday.
Glendening, 36, sits at $775,000 for 2025-26, and this is classic fourth-line math, bank the space, keep the option.
Tsyplakov is undrafted, 26 at signing, on a $2,250,000 cap hit through 2026-27, and the Devils are basically testing whether the league still sees him as a middle-six piece.
That same X thread also flagged Mathieu Joseph, 29, a 2015 fourth-round pick by Tampa Bay, at $2,950,000 for 2025-26, with chatter about termination, but the bigger picture is simple.
St. Louis is trying to unjam its roster after Colton Parayko blocked a trade to Buffalo.
Vegas also popped up with Alexander Holtz and Cole Reinhardt on the wire.
Holtz is 24, a 2020 first-round pick, drafted 7th by New Jersey, and he's sitting on a tidy $839,725 cap hit through 2026-27.
Reinhardt is 26, a 2020 sixth-round pick by Vegas, at $812,500 through 2026-27, and that's pure depth winger storage.

Alexander Holtz and Vegas Golden Knights feel the squeeze

Fans can feel the stress right now, because every waiver move looks like a pre-trade domino, even when it's just papering the roster.
Tampa Bay's Curtis Douglas also hit the list, and he's 25, drafted in 2018 in the fourth round by Dallas, the kind of big body teams park until they need net-front minutes.
Then Philadelphia jumped in with Garrett Wilson getting an NHL contract.
Wilson is 34, and yes, he's a former Pittsburgh Penguins forward, which makes this feel like a classic "known pro, known effort" add for a stretch drive.
Here is the full list of players on waivers:
None of these names scream headline trade, but the timing does.
Friday's deadline forces teams to choose, carry extra bodies, or carve out space for one more real upgrade.
