Byram gets fined $5,000 for dirty hit on Angus Crookshank in Sabres Vs. Senators

The NHL announced that the Sabres' defenseman Byram received a $5,000 fine for an interference call that occured late in the first period of last night's game.

"Buffalo's Bowen Byram has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for interference on Ottawa's Angus Crookshank."

The Senators were controlling the puck in the offensize zone, and Byram raised his elbow as Crooshank was passing by. Crookshank fell harshly on the ice and remained there, but managed to skate to the bench by himself.
