Seattle Kraken Make Major Move Regarding The Future Of Top Prospect Shane Wright
The Seattle Kraken announced a major move last night as they have called up top prospect Shane Wright from the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the AHL.
Kraken Recall Wright From American Hockey League
Wright has been an interesting prospect to follow. The Kraken have done everything they can to bypass the NHL-CHL agreement, allowing Wright to develop in the AHL rather than the CHL. The move seems to be doing wonders for Wright's development as he is just under a point-per-game with Coachella Valley. Tonight though, he may get his next opportunity in the NHL.

Additionally, the team has placed forward Jaden Schwartz on long-term injured reserve (retroactive to 11/28).

Notably though, the Kraken do not play tonight. Wright's next chance to play in the NHL will come tomorrow night when the team hosts the LA Kings. If he can translate his AHL production to the NHL, then he might even stick around with the team for the rest of the season.
