The Carolina Hurricanes are trying to make room in front of the net as they placed goaltender Antti Raanta on waivers today.
The veteran goaltender has played 14 games for Carolina this season, while the Canes have struggled with an Andersen injury.
Raanta is now available to all teams in the league.
Across the NHL, forward Vinny Hinostroza has not been claimed by any organization in the last 24 hours.
