image

The Edmonton Oilers lost to the San Jose Sharks yesterday. The Sharks secured their second victory of the season, and the Oilers; their 9th loss. Both team now have the same number of win, but San Jose played one more game.
If the Oilers lose their next game and the Sharks win theirs, the Oilers will officially be at the 32nd rank in the league.
Before that happen, there's a good chance we see major changes in the organization, starting with a new head coach.
After their tough loss, Jay Woodcroft was caught on camera, admitting it might be the end of his tenure in Edmonton.
As Jay Woodcroft and Dave Manson walk off the ice after the Oilers' loss to San Jose, Woodcroft appears to say "That might be it" to Manson, who appears to respond with "yup."

It's confusing to see a team with two of the world's best players in the state that the Oilers are in.
Woodcroft, who unquestionably shares some blame for the team's struggles, has come under intense scrutiny from critics.
Many are calling for his dismissal, even with two years left on his contract.
There are several promising candidates who could potentially revive the Edmonton Oilers, including Gerard Gallant, Claude Julien, or Patrick Roy.
Do you think the Oilers must replace Woodcroft before their next game?
