The most sought after player this year at the trade deadline is without a doubt center Bo Horvat. The Vancouver Canucks have confirmed that they will be trading their captain and the rumors are only getting louder about him the closer we get to March 3rd.

While many reliable sources are saying that talks have really heated up lately, reporter Rick Dhaliwal has just reported that the Seattle Kraken is seriously in the running.
"The Kraken has been persistent and insistent in its efforts to acquire Bo Horvat from the Vancouver Canucks."

Additionally, a Vancouver reporter added this:
"If you're a general manager and you want to improve your hockey club, you wouldn't be doing your job if you didn't call the Canucks and ask about Bo Horvat.

That said, the price is high and there have been more than a handful of teams with very serious interest, especially in the last week." - Irfaan Gaffar

Where it gets even more intriguing and mysterious is when an NHL informant, John Buccigross, shared this post with a photo of Shane Wright.
See here:

Obviously, this publication has caused a lot of reactions from the fans, because using Wright's photo to justify the high price to acquire Horvat is really not insignificant.
Considering the Kraken's excellent season and the fact that they have a real chance to make the playoffs, is their general manager going to do anything to acquire a star player like Bo Horvat?
The latter is on fire this year, with 30 goals and 49 points in only 45 games so far. Add to that the fact that the center is only 27 years old.
Wright has 2 points in 8 games this season, but was sent back to junior after the World Junior Championship.
Is this suggestion from Buccigross realistic? It could be, especially if this trade comes with a contract extension with the arrival of Horvat.
In my opinion, if the Kraken is going to include a fourth overall pick in the trade for the Canucks #53, he would certainly have to be more than a rental player.
One thing is for sure, Horvat would help the Kraken a lot more this season and in the medium term, compared to Wright who is going to take some time to become an impact player in the NHL.
To be continued.
