The Vancouver Canucks have confirmed that they will be trading their captain and the rumors are only getting louder about him the closer we get to March 3rd. Considering the Kraken's excellent season and the fact that they have a real chance to make the playoffs, is their general manager going to do anything to acquire a star player like Bo Horvat? The latter is on fire this year, with 30 goals and 49 points in only 45 games so far. Add to that the fact that the center is only 27 years old. Wright has 2 points in 8 games this season, but was sent back to junior after the World Junior Championship. Is this suggestion from Buccigross realistic? It could be, especially if this trade comes with a contract extension with the arrival of Horvat. In my opinion, if the Kraken is going to include a fourth overall pick in the trade for the Canucks #53, he would certainly have to be more than a rental player. One thing is for sure, Horvat would help the Kraken a lot more this season and in the medium term, compared to Wright who is going to take some time to become an impact player in the NHL.
