Kent Hughes receives a hard-to-refuse offer from the Flyers
The Habs have the 5th overall pick and, as Kent Hughes himself has said, he's open to anything, even dropping down the standings.
According to Frank Seravalli, Daniel Brière and the Flyers are so fond of Matvei Michkov that they're willing to pay top dollar to acquire him.
"I think what they're trying to do is offer their #7 and #22 overall picks, plus possibly something else, to try to move up to fourth or fifth overall on the Montreal Canadiens." - Seravalli
Kent Hughes could therefore have two 1st-round picks, including the 7th, plus another piece, if Michkov is available and the Habs don't want him of course.
Frank Seravalli on the DFO Rundown podcast says he thinks the Flyers are interested in moving up to draft Michkov. "I think what they're trying to do is to take (picks) 7, 22 and whatever else required to then see if they can move up to 4 or 5."- HabsLinks (@HabsLinks) June 26, 2023
It's an offer that's hard to refuse, and will only materialize if Michkov is still available at No. 5.
