Kent Hughes and the Habs could draft an unexpected player according to an expert and it's causing a stir
Now that the frenzy surrounding the possibility of winning the Connor Bedard lottery has died down in Montreal, there is still a lot of buzz around the fifth overall pick, which could be quite a player.
According to industry experts, the top five is very similar, but now the respected Craig Button has come up with a surprising name at number five on his list.
His name is Axel Sandin-Pellika. This is quite surprising since the Swede is ranked 15th on average by other experts. Sandin-Pellika is a right-handed offensive defenseman who seems to be molded for the NHL.
With the surplus of left-handed defensemen and very little right-handed relief on the Habs, it's understandable why Kent Hughes and his team would make him their first round pick.
It would definitely be a surprise.
Here is Craig Button's ranking.
